I've told you before that Nazmi Faiz, a young talented Malaysian player get a tryout selection from a Portuguese club and that club is S.C. Beira-Mar (wiki). He'll be there this Sunday for the tryout.
The other speculated players that will played in foreign league are Wan Zack Haikal and Wan Zaharul Nizam. They both being said that approached by FC Ryukyu (wiki), a Japanese 3rd Division club. Even though it just a 3rd Division club, yet I think the quality is much better than Malaysian league level. However the deal is not yet finalize so don't put a higher hope yet.
Before those 3 player, there is one Malaysian player playing for a foreign club. It is Safee Sali who played for an Indonesian Super League club, Pelita Jaya (wiki). And he is quite success there as one of the top scorer of the season. He is also the captain of the team. And Wan Zack Haikal, Irfan Fazail and Fadhli Shas was a loan player for FC Vion (wiki), for a few months, but didn't get much opportunity on the field.
Malaysian players playing in a foreign league is a stepping stone for Malaysian football scene. This indicates that our players are improving in terms of their quality and please DON'T COMPARE THEM WITH A MUCH ESTABLISH FOREIGN PLAYER. We're starting all over again and glad thing are working well.
Lastly, I leave you with top 5 goals from 8 May Malaysian Super League fixture. Credit to sokernet, where you can find Malaysian football videos there.
