It's Confirmed; Nazmi Will Play in Portugal

It was a buzz last night on social media (facebook) when it was confirmed that Nazmi Faiz has officially signed the contract for 3 season with a Portugal division 1 club, SC Beira-Mar thus being the first Malaysian to play in Europe 1st division. At least in this decade. Akmal Rizal had played with a european club before but I can't remember where. But I think it's not from the first division.

Nazmi will start playing for the club starting August when he turns 18. If he manage to play, he will compete with another popular club like Benfica, FC Porto and Sporting lisbon. We, Malaysian are very please with the story. We are now hoping more Malaysian player play in another higher level league than Malaysia so we can improve our standard in Asia at least. Remember, our head coach, K.Rajagopal's goal is to qualify in the final round of AFC Asia Cup in 2015.
