FIFA will be testing the Goal-Line technology in a friendly between England vs Belgium in their EURO 2012 warm-up in Wembley. The so-called "Hawk-Eye goalline technology system" will be test for the first time in an international friendly match. They've tested it before but not in a big match.
This technology has arise debate among fans whether it is necessary or not. One of the popular claim is in the World Cup 2010 when England goal was disallow by the referee even though replay show that the ball already went in. The photo above is the scene of what I'm talking about. I admit, that kind of situation sometime affect players motivation.
I don't know when this technology will be fully applied, but I'm waiting for a good progress.
