Malaysian brand has been displayed in a few clubs in England. "Proton" was displayed at Norwich City jersey in 2003/2004 season. And currently, there are two clubs in England that owned by Malaysian. One of them is in the premier league, or should I say managed to survive for the next season.
You know which club that I mean, it's Queens Park Rangers. The club chairman is Tony Fernandes, the owner of a low-cost airline company, AirAsia. So, "AirAsia" name will be displayed on the team jersey. The other team is Cardiff City, they almost get through to the premier league AGAIN, but it's look like they gonna be stay in the second division for another season. The difference with Cardiff City is, instead of "Berjaya Group", the owner's company, he put the "Malaysia" name on the jersey.
As for my point in this entry, another Malaysia company will be... I'm sorry, now featured in another club, but not an England club but in a Japanese club, FC Tokyo. They played in AFC Champions League. The Company is "Malaysia LNG". That's all for now.
